Welcome to the Bank House Guesthouse

Stephen and Jayne would like to welcome you to the Bank House (Guesthouse) Accommodation in Kinlochleven right on the West Highland Way, (Highlands of Scotland).

We are not a hotel - in fact, one of our guests in a recent review said this (un edited) and it sums up their experience and our aim for your stay.

"So wonderful to come to such a lovely, cozy, non pretentious BNB after previously having to stay in unclean bunkhouses. I could not fault this place, massive bed, incredibly clean and tidy.

It felt like staying in a close family member's home. Big fluffy towels, regular old shampoo and conditioner (not the gross hotel stuff that dries out your hair), adorable ducks and chicken in the yard. Beautiful view of the river out the window. They had a great staging foyer to leave boots and even provided little slip-on sandals.

Sweet spaniel was my favourite of the hosts, getting to meet her was like a hug as I missed my family a lot at that point of the hike.

Host provided a charger when I had left mine! Again, can't fault it. If you're looking for a private, on-suite, cozy BNB where you can really rest after a 14 mile hike, this is the one!

Tips for other travellers
Take an extra day here if you like climbing as there is a climb gym with ice climbing training as well!

We ARE a Guesthouse (not bed and breakfast) and (optional) Breakfast when available.  This means our rates are for room only but you can add breakfast when you arrive.  Just let us know at the time of booking that you would like to do this.

Breakfast .. is available at nearby Inns or hotel or at Mo's Kitchen which is literally over the road.  There are some occasions that breakfast will be available at the Guesthouse. We will let you know when you arrive.

When available at the Bank House we have a good choice of breakfast option to choose from when you arrive including gluten free, vegan, vegetarian etc.  It's a good idea to let us know in advance of special dietary needs so that we can make sure we have this available.

We even have free range hens so eggs are fresh for your breakfast and they wake early and are vocal about it. We don't have a cockerel so there's no announcing the sunrise though thankfully!

Set at the head of Loch Leven, the Bank House was originally built as the Bank manager's house and offices for the thriving town in the 1900’s. The house and offices have now been converted into a comfortable family home into which you are invited.

Nestled in the penultimate stopover on the beautiful West Highland Way, it’s a great place to rest up before the last stage of your memorable trip.

Kinlochleven is also a fantastic place to base yourself for many of the outdoor activities that are available in the area.  You could ‘bag a Munro’, try ice climbing or scale a waterfall, all within a 1000m of the Bank House. But don’t let us limit your imagination, there’s hill walking, hiking, cycling, skiing, fishing, watching wildlife, touring or just relaxing.

We believe you'll love staying at the newly renovated Bank House B & B in Kinlochleven.   From the moment you step through the door, you'll receive a warm welcome and will be made to feel “right at home.”
